Barrie oversees all aspects of Railwhere’s operations, including strategic planning, financial management, and day-to-day business activities. He provides strategic direction across product development, sales, and marketing, ensuring every part of the business is aligned and moving in the right direction.

  

With 30 years’ experience in process and system implementation within supply chain and logistics environments, Barrie brings a deep understanding of how to build and scale operationally robust solutions. He has been closely involved in the development of Railwhere’s products for more than seven years, helping shape tools that meet the real-world needs of the rail industry.

Known for his practical mindset, strong leadership, and commitment to continuous improvement, Barrie plays a pivotal role in keeping Railwhere running efficiently on every level. 

Christina Frost

Christina leads the delivery of all customer-facing projects at Railwhere, ensuring they run smoothly, on time, and to spec. She also manages customer relationships, providing a consistent point of contact from start to finish.

With over 18 years of experience across organisations both in the public and private sector Christina brings a sharp focus on execution and a no-fuss approach to delivery. Her clear communication, structured mindset and commitment to quality keep projects, and Railwhere, firmly on track 

Steve Gray

Steve is a seasoned technology leader with over 20 years of experience in IT. At Railwhere, he leads our technical and data teams, driving the ongoing improvement of both our data and our products.

With a strong background in network design, IT operations, software development, and technical strategy, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge to the role.

 

His experience spans everything from running his own consultancy to leading large-scale technical operations, giving him a rare blend of hands-on expertise and strategic oversight. He’s focused on building robust, scalable systems and supporting high-performing teams that help us deliver real value to our customers.

Liam Wilson

With over 15 years of programming experience and 6 years in professional software development, Liam leads the software engineering team at Railwhere. Originally from a background in games development, Liam brings a deep understanding of complex systems, optimisation techniques, and real-time routing algorithms to the rail industry.

 

At Railwhere, Liam applies these skills to design and implement robust, scalable software solutions that address the unique challenges of UK rail infrastructure.

Josh Blades

Josh is a talented Software Developer with nearly four years of experience, and he's been a key member of the team for most of that time. With a strong focus on frontend development and solid full-stack skills, he plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality, user-focused solutions for our clients.

He’s known for his friendly nature, strong work ethic, and passion for technology. Quick to adapt and always up for a challenge, he’s a dependable problem-solver who collaborates brilliantly with the team to ensure projects deliver on time and run smoothly

Nick Richards

Nick is Railwhere’s Data Technician and has been working on our systems since their very first inception. His deep understanding of the data and long-standing experience make him an indispensable part of the team.

While much of our data management is handled through automated processes, maintaining its accuracy and reliability also requires human insight, care, and logic. Nick ensures the data behind our software is as clean, consistent, and accurate as possible, because without high-quality data, the system simply wouldn’t deliver the precise results our customers expect.

Working closely alongside him is Nick Langley, who acts as his dedicated support assistant. The two work in partnership to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, helping to ensure Railwhere’s systems remain dependable, efficient, and always on the right track

Nick works in close partnership with our Data Technician, Nick Richards, providing dedicated day-to-day support that helps Nick ensure the accuracy, consistency, and overall quality of the data powering Railwhere’s systems. This behind-the-scenes work is crucial to delivering the reliable results our customers depend on.

Nick brings a broad and varied background to the role, combining technical skill with practical insight. Before joining Railwhere, he supported large-scale SAP implementations, developed and automated key reporting systems for a nationwide business, and managed data for hundreds of users. He’s also been a professional musician and songwriter, and has worked in a range of healthcare and support roles.
His unique blend of experience, calm approach, and sharp sense of humour make him an invaluable support to Nick Richards, and a valued member of the Railwhere team.
